It's Too Early For Christmas

The ads are on already & it's not even Thanksgving. They should wait until Day after Thanksgiving to put them on but commercialism reings in tvland. And to make matters worse stuff is called holiday but not Christmas. Excuse me, but it is Christmas not Holiday & it is Jesus birth not some commercialism junk. I saw a commecial last nite that really shows ya how people have forgotton the meaning of the season.

Some lady is about to get a wrapped up present from her hubby. He shows it to her & she is dying to open it up but her hubby says not until we go to Grandmas' We gotta go to Grandmas first. Fine she goes & off they go to Grandmas in their van or suv or whatever of the two. They get to Grandma's & Grandma says hi to them & they say hi back. & Not even getting out of the car the woman says she wants to go on home & they do cuz she can't be bothered to visit Grandma cuz she is dying to open up that present. Good example for the kids huh? I think not. I can understand her dying to know what is in the gift. I'm curious like that too. However, she is more concerned about the present than seeing the family & Grandma. Wrong priorities folks. Christmas is Jesus first & family second and in that order. Okay? Remember it's CHRISTmas and not holidays. Jesus First as Jerry Falwell used to say. Sermon over for now & have a blessed day. Hope this gave you something to think about...
