Psalms 43: 5

Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God.

Praying When You Eat

I read this in the Bible last week & got something pretty neat out of it...

1 Corinthians 14:2-28

KJV

What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.
16

Else when thou shalt bless with the spirit, how shall he that occupieth the room of the unlearned say Amen at thy giving of thanks, seeing he understandeth not what thou sayest?

NKJV

I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the understanding. 16 Otherwise, if you bless with the spirit, how will he who occupies the place of the uninformed say “Amen” at your giving of thanks, since he does not understand what you say? 17 For you indeed give thanks well, but the other is not edified.

Holman

5 What then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with my understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with my understanding. 16 Otherwise, if you bless with the spirit, how will the uninformed person [e] say " Amen" (I) at your giving of thanks, since he does not know what you are saying? 17 For you may very well be giving thanks, but the other person is not being built up.

It hit me it means that when you pray at a meal, don't just pray silently to yourself when you have other people at the table eating with you. Pray outloud so you they can join in with you & also be edified. It could also be talking about tongues as well. Pretty neat stuff huh? May God Bless everyone reading this & even thos who didn't read this as well. Have a blessed day... :)
